Mugabe died on a medical trip to Singapore, where he had been travelling regularly for treatment.

George Charamba the Official Presidential Spokesperson shared the presser below.

A row over Robert Mugabe's final burial site escalated on Thursday, a day after the former president's body was returned to Zimbabwe from Singapore where he died on September 6.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday and the burial on Sunday.

We emphasize that the attached list could change as more information on attendances is received.

But some of Mugabe's relatives have pushed back against that plan.

Former minister and Mugabe ally Walter Chidakwa would, on behalf of the family, communicate their concerns with the government.

A statement by his nephew Patrick Zhuwao released on behalf of Mugabe's "immediate family" accused the government of what it described as an "absence of consultation on the programme for the funeral and burial" of Zimbabwe's founding leader.

In a statement, the Mugabe family said it was extremely concerned over the way the authorities had made funeral plans "without consulting his immediate family who were tasked with communicating his last wishes in regard to his funeral and burial".

A choir wearing yellow T-shirts bearing Mnangagwa's face sang songs and played percussion as he arrived. The home affairs ministry would draw up the funeral programme in consultation with Mugabe's family, he said.

Around a hundred well-wishers sat under a marquee on a lawn beneath the main house, waiting to pay their respects.

His body is being prepared to lie in state at a football stadium in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare. The body was then to be taken to his rural home in Kutama, 85 kilometres (50 miles) from the capital.

Mugabe presided over an economy wrecked by hyperinflation, shortages and deeply entrenched corruption, and a raging political rivalry between the country's two largest political parties, ZANU-PF and the opposition MDC.

He's also been blamed for bringing untold suffering to the people of Zimbabwe and forcing millions of them out onto the world.
