Meanwhile, the ISRO on Thursday said officials of the California Institute of Technology (CalTech) and the JPL visited its headquarters and met its Chairman K Sivan.

"As a global citizen, I congratulate India on the landing of Vikram Lander on the Moon".

ISRO has several future missions planned which include the human spaceflight mission, a joint mission with NASA and also a mission to the sun. "All possible efforts are being made to establish communication with lander". The spacecraft had fallen silent on 7 September, moments before its intended touchdown near the south pole of the moon. The money was released for Chandrayaan-2 in 2008-2009. Boosting the morale of scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) after the space agency lost communication with Chandrayaan-2's lander, Vikram, Modi said that India stands in solidarity with them and the country believes that best is yet to come.

However, on September 8, ISRO chairman K Sivan said that Vikram had been located on the lunar surface and that it must had been a hard-landing. "The attempts will be made till September 20-21 when the sunlight will be there in the area where the Vikram has landed", an ISRO official was quoted as saying by IANS. He came here to try and claim that the moon mission began because of him.

A couple of days ago, ISRO scientists had confirmed that "Vikram" is still intact but in a tilted position on the surface of the Moon. The space agency added that efforts are still on to establish communication with lander "Vikram". Vikram lander had the capability of communicating with the rover as well as the orbiter, transmitting important information from the Moon to Earth. There is also the probability that the impact shock may have damaged the lander.
