Dunn was killed on August 27 in Croughton, a small village in central England, when his motorcycle collided with a Volvo SUV traveling in the opposite direction, police said."The Foreign Secretary met the US Ambassador today and urged the US to reconsider its position and do the right thing by Harry Dunn's family", the foreign office said in a statement Tuesday.Anne Sacoolas, 42, the wife of a USA diplomat, is being treated as a suspect in the investigation, police said.

Dunn's parents, Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn, say they are going to NY and Washington to build support and to pressure USA authorities "to do the right thing".

They said they will visit both NY and Washington DC to gain support from Americans and "put pressure on the U.S. administration to do the right thing".

Contact has been made between the legal teams representing Anne Sacoolas and the family of Harry Dunn.

"We have agreed to meet each other at the earliest possibility as soon as we can co-ordinate our diaries".

He also told Sky News it was a "positive step forward", saying: "It's a great sign (Mrs Sacoolas" lawyer has) reached out to us and we will be engaging in embracing those discussions as openly and as positively as we always do'.

It's the first contact between the two parties since Mrs Sacoolas' left the United Kingdom in the wake of the fatal auto crash which claimed the life of Harry Dunn. It is not clear when exactly Sacoolas departed the U.K., but police told NBC News that they were advised September 16 that she had already left the country.Sky News, which is owned by NBC News' parent company Comcast, reported that Jonathan Sacoolas was not on the published list of accredited diplomats in the U.K. The British Foreign Office disputed the claim and said that he was an accredited diplomat in the eyes of the British government and his wife was entitled to diplomatic immunity.

Boris Johnson said although President Trump was sympathetic towards Harry's family's views on the use of diplomatic immunity, the USA are "very reluctant" to allow citizens to be tried overseas.
