Better have a lot of storage ready.

At least they didn't suggest 32GB RAM. However, now we have the mighty Call of Duty Modern Warfare requirements. Trailers, beta coverage, the highs of the experience coming our way, and the lows of pending microtransactions and console exclusive deals, we've heard everything but one remaining aspect.

Minimum storage space for Modern Warfare is listed as 175GB available and 8GB RAM memory.

Unfortunately, there's no indication as to exactly how much smaller that initial download will be, as the minimum and recommended specs still call for 175GB of drive space.

Updated: Activision has stated that the 175GB hard drive space for Modern Warfare on PC is recommended for both the base game + post launch content planned.

So how big is Modern Warfare on consoles? Consoles obviously still have their performance and visual shortcomings, but that gap has closed considerably in comparison to even just a few years ago. Two of those tools will be available to GeForce gamers playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Ansel and Highlights. I've emailed Activision to ask and will update if I receive a reply. Maybe this is just a continuing reality that PC players will have to start living with, as these file sizes increase annually. One thing that stuck out to many players is the required storage space.

Red Dead 2 is known to be a massive game, which also includes an expansive multiplayer mode.

However, it's worth checking if you're waiting for Modern Warfare, to ensure you can get straight into the game when it releases on October 25.
