Suspect arrested in shooting death of actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd, police say

Anonymous tips led investigators to arrest and charge 30-year-old Antonio Demetrice Rhynes for the murder of actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd. An arrest warrant was issued for Rhynes Wednesday and he was arrested Friday morning. He will be taken to the Fulton County Jail. A $10,000 reward had been offered for information leading to an arrest. Byrd's daughter, Shannon Byrd-Crossley, said she did not know Rhynes but is grateful that a suspect was apprehended. "But at the same time, it doesn't bring him back".

Atlanta police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd.
