Tesla has updated the Model 3 with a host of small revisions and upgrades, and added Long Range Plus versions of the Model S and Model X to the United Kingdom pricing list. With competition growing - rivals are rolling out affordable products with vastly improved drive and tech capabilities, Model 3 has now been facing some heat and may get to hit back hard courtesy its 2021 refresh that now claims to offer better range and even more features.

The Model 3 now boasts more range across all three versions. A metallic steering wheel may also come in - complete with heating functionality - while a new center console can also be expected.

Acceleration times are also up across all models, with the Model 3 Performance now scooting to 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds, a tenth faster than before. The Long Range variant is up from 347 miles to 360, while the performance model goes from 329 miles to 360 miles.

Tesla's newest vehicle, the Model Y electric SUV, also got a range boost. An updated design of Sport wheels (available in 18 and 19in sizes) plus a 20in "Uberturbine" wheel option also feature, while the tyres have been uprated to boost efficiency.

The centre console has been changed to allow wireless charging pads for two smartphones, while the sunvisors are now magnetic and snap black into place. Across all Model 3 versions, there's now a powered trunk, double-paned windows, and auto-dimming, heated side mirrors.

The updated cars are shipping from the Fremont, California, plant in the next five to nine weeks.
