During the interview, Chaka, whose career has spanned for nearly five decades, was asked if there were any artists that she would like to work with.

"She's good on her own", Khan added. "She don't need-plus, I don't wanna sing with another woman".

"I ain't got nothing to say with a woman", she explained.

'You say it by yourself, ' continued the artist, whose real name is Yvette Marie Stevens.

"F*ck her, she's alright", Khan said.

Based on Khan's response, one can assume that something may have transpired between the two during their last collaboration. "She don't need [me] â€" plus, I don't want to sing with another woman. We ain't gonna talk about no man. We not gonna do none of that stuff. The pair teamed up on "Nobody" from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack a year ago. The 67-year-old singer previously described it as "cute."

Though her lack of interest in working with another woman is one of the main reasons Chaka Khan doesn't want to collaborate with Grande again, her not being a fan of their song "Nobody" could be another hint as to why she feels this way. "It's a song, you know, about Charlie's Angels. It's a good song in the movie".

Before changing her mind about female collaborations, Khan has also worked with singers such as Mary J. Blige,Whitney Houston, Anastacia, and Lulu.

However the I'm Every Woman hitmaker quickly softened, adding, 'She's alright'.

"I love Lalah Hathaway".
