The Home Improvement star has been under the custody of Eugene's Lane County Jail since Saturday 1:01am when he was booked over charges of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and interfering with making a report, as disclosed by the records.

The Eugene Police Department says officers were dispatched to a North East Eugene apartment Friday night on a report of a physical dispute.

Police were called to the apartment of Bryan, 39, from the U.S. state of OR, on Friday (local time).

Police also noted that the actor tried to take the woman's phone from her when she tried to call the cops on him.

Officers arrived to find Bryan sitting outside a residence while the victim, 27, was at a nearby apartment, according to the police. "The two have been in a relationship", they added further.

The victim declined medical assistance.

Bryan was booked into custody in OR at 1:01 am local time on Saturday, according to a booking report from the Lane County Jail.

The actor grinned for his mugshot that has been obtained by TMZ.

Bryan is best known for playing Brad Taylor, the son of Tim Allen's Tim "The Toolman" Taylor, on "Home Improvement" from 1991 to 1999.

The 39-year-old now faces charges of strangulation and assault. He's listed as the executive producer for the science fiction thriller called Warning and Finding 52, which is a feature length documentary that is still in post-production.
