Smashing Pumpkins Confirm 'Mellon Collie' + 'Machina' Sequel Album

The 28-track album debuted at #1 on BILLBOARD sales and was certified RIAA Diamond in both the U.S and Canada, received seven GRAMMY Award nominations. Fans are also encouraged to post their "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness" memories HERE.

On top of that, Billy has confirmed that the Pumpkins will be embarking on a "full-on arena tour" when they can in 2021 to bring the sequel album to life, with ambitious future plans that would give this trilogy "separate shows" for each record. The band has revealed that a new "sequel" conceptual album is in the works, completing the trilogy that started with Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and later continued with Machina. Dates and more information to be revealed soon.

They have also announced that they are working on a sequel to the 33-song concept album Melon Cole And Machina, Currently set for a 2021 release. Due out before that is CYR, the band's eleventh studio LP, which comes out on Friday, November 27.

Meanwhile, if you're after Mellon Collie-themed merch, Smashing Pumpkins teamed up with skateboarding streetwear collective HUF to create a limited-edition collection featuring shirts, hoodies, guitar picks, skateboards, tote bags and more, inspired by the Mellon Collie artwork.

The good news is that Smashing Pumpkins fans will have a very rare opportunity to talk to Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain.

In other news, The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan will be playing a live acoustic set on October 30 at 6PM PT / 9PM ET foriHeart Alt 98.7 FM's The Woody Show. Tickets are on sale now, and 100% of proceeds will benefit men's health charity Movember.
