U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden cast an early ballot in his home state of DE on Wednesday, telling reporters afterward that he is able to work with Republicans on improving the Affordable Care Act to give Americans better health care.

The former vice president voted at the Carvel State Office Building in his hometown of Wilmington, Del., after delivering remarks about protecting the Affordable Care Act.

While President Donald Trump won all but Minnesota in 2016, Democrats are increasingly optimistic Biden can win at least MI and Pennsylvania back, and he's making a play for OH as well.

President Donald Trump voted Saturday in Palm Beach, Florida, the state to which he changed his resident status from his native NY in 2019. He changed his residency from NY a year ago.

As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 75 million votes have been cast, more than half of the total number of votes cast in the 2016 election, according to the U.S. Election Project, a turnout-tracking database.

Biden holds a comfortable lead in national polls, which also show a public increasingly dismayed by Trump's handling of the largest public health crisis in USA living memory.

DE allows some early voting by appointment. Polls in battleground states that might decide the election are tighter.
