John Wall Asks For Trade After He Was Including in Trade Talks

John Wall has requested a trade from the Washington Wizards front office after they explored trading him for Russell Westbrook. Then, after 41 games in 2018, his season ended when he required surgery on his left heel.

He hasn't played in an National Basketball Association game since.

Wall can earn over $132 million during the final three seasons of his contract.

Unfortunately for the Wizards, moving such a contract (especially when it's attached to a player coming off of such a significant injury) isn't easy, and while not impossible, the true test comes in trying to acquire more value than what is being sent out.

The floor general's name recently emerged in trade talks between the Wizards and Houston Rockets involving fellow point guard Russell Westbrook, but those discussions have since stalled, Charania reports.

National Basketball Association free agency has already gotten off to a wild start as numerous players have switched teams, all while the likes of Dwight Howard bait and switched the Los Angeles Lakers, seemingly for no good reason. If they can't find anything that makes sense for them in the present market, they may just enter the new campaign with Wall despite his grumbling, and go from there.
