The south: Sunshine and intermittent cloud is expected in the south of the country on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures peaking at 19 degrees and nightly lows of 14 degrees.

Environment Canada is calling for a significant amount of snow hitting the Ottawa area Sunday afternoon into Monday. It will be a little breezy with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s. A few showers are possible by evening, mostly west of Richmond.

Showers will be possible for at least the first half of Thanksgiving. The warmer temperatures will come with increasing humidity but overall rain chances remain near 0. Highs temperatures will climb into the low 70s, which is unseasonably warm for late November.

Dry weather is expected Friday and Saturday.

Rain showers "could be here on Thanksgiving, and turn it into a wet and dreary day", the forecaster said. There will be a slight chance of rain showers Sunday afternoon, followed by a better chance of rain Sunday night. As we approach the overnight hours, the rain will be winding down.
