COVID-19 Deaths, Positive Cases Continue to Rise

The number of new COVID-19 cases in yesterday's COVID-19 Update from the Manitowoc County Health Department may have been a little higher than average, but there was a new record set in a different category. All counts, except for hospitalized cases, are compiled from the TDSHS website.

Saturday's report from the Indiana Department of Health showed that Marshall County now has 41 total COVID-19 deaths along with 38 new positive COVID-19 cases.

Through today, 234 have died from COVID-19 related illness in the county. That coupled with the 80 new cases and 113 negative tests bring s the pandemic totals to 4,317 cases, 2,036 of which remain active, 2,252 recoveries, and 22,265 negative tests.

After confirming nine COVID-19 deaths Thursday, Jefferson County has now reported more than 100 deaths from the virus in November, with 106 reported fatalities as of Nov. 20. According to the report, this update is now managed by Collin County Health Care Services, not the State of Texas.

Celebrating virtually or with members of your own household (who are consistently taking measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19) poses the lowest risk for spread.
