Olivier Giroud's recent career has had its ups and down.

He has played more minutes for France than he has for his club so far this season.

The World Cup victor has experienced mixed fortunes during his time at Stamford Bridge.

France coach Didier Deschamps has told the 34-year-old "the situation he's in today can not drag on forever" with Giroud having played just 33 minutes in the Premier League this season.

Giroud's agent is of the view that his client is being treated unfairly by Lampard with reduced first team action, despite the 34-year-old's goalscoring exploits towards the end of last season.

"Since the beginning of September things have changed but what has not changed is their ability to play games for France".

Giroud - who cost Chelsea £18 million - would prefer to remain in the Premier League according to The Guardian, although he would also be open to a move to Italy with Inter Milan interested.

Asked about his client's current situation at Chelsea, Manuello told French outlet Foot Mercato: "We must not be blind and Frank Lampard has chose to put Tammy Abraham before him".

The Guardian say that Giroud is not at war with Chelsea's hierarchy or Lampard, but Deschamps has made it clear that his EURO 2020 place might not be guaranteed unless his situation changes.

"If things continue like this, in December we will be at the same point as in December 2019".

However, under Didier Deschamps, the French striker has scored five goals in his last eight worldwide outings. We can't just look at the last two months and forget about the previous three years. "Chelsea scored 18 goals", Manuello told Foot Mercato via Evening Standard.

"But we have to be honest and it is true that if this continues, he may want to live other emotions".
