Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell went backwards on moving day as Colombia's Camilo Villegas remained in contention for an emotional win in the RSM Classic at Sea Island in Georgia.

Villegas took a break from competitive action after his 22-month-old daughter Mia, who had been battling brain and spine tumors, died in July.

The way Robert Streb is playing this week, you wouldn't know he has finished in the top 10 only once in 2020 on the PGA Tour.

In 2014, Streb closed with a 63 to make up a five-shot deficit before winning a three-man playoff.

Streb was happy to plot his way round and keep the mistakes off his card, although he was scrambling hard over the early stages and managed to make pars at the first seven holes before pitching to inside three feet at the eighth to set up his first birdie of the day.

Even with no spectators and only limited corporate clients allowed, Johnson will feel an entire community behind.

Burgoon also shot a 63 with nine birdies on the Plantation course, where Kizzire shot a six-under 66 to join him on 131.

Burgoon made five birdies in six holes on the back nine and matched Streb's 67 to stay three behind alongside Johnson, while Emiliano Grillo raced to 13 under when he got hot with the putter over the last four holes.

Villegas dropped back into that tie for fifth after mixing three birdies with three bogeys. He came up well short of the green on the par-3 third and had to get up-and-down from 65 meet, making an 8-foot par putt.

"(I m) just trying to finish as well as I can and see if I can get in a better spot for the spring", he said.

It never felt easy, but he wasn't losing any ground.

The second-ranked Kim shot a 6-under-par 64, birdieing Nos. 14-17, to get to 14-under 196.

"When I got on the range and I saw a rainbow, hey, listen, here it is". "I only had nine-iron in, so I was able to be a little more aggressive to a front pin that s in a tough place with the way it was playing downwind".
