Teague should slot into the backup point guard role behind Kemba Walker with Brad Wanamaker reportedly headed to the Golden State Warriors.

The Boston Celtics have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran guard Jeff Teague, most recently of the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to the Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach.

It's been a while since Thompson has played some competitive basketball, but there's no doubt he's able to deliver while playing games that mean something.

Last season, Thompson averaged 12 points and 10.1 rebounds a game in Cleveland, but the Cavaliers failed to be one of the eight teams invited to the National Basketball Association restart in Orlando.

Teague spent his first seven National Basketball Association seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and made an All-Star team in 2015.

Teague averaged 10.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game on 43.6/36.8/87.3 shooting splits.

Teague was an NBA All-Star in 2015.
