FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Mostly pleasant Thanksgiving week weather

These will be the result of a cold front passing by. Temperatures in the low 70s in Atlanta today are consistent with normal highs in the month of October. We can't rule out an isolated shower, but most everyone will stay dry.

Some rain is expected for Monday with temps cooling into the mid-40s. Keep reading for the forecast through Thanksgiving Day.

We are wrapping up this Saturday afternoon with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 40s. Get out there and enjoy it if you can because clouds will be on the increase overnight tonight and into tomorrow. Lows: Upper 30s. Monday: Partly cloudy. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Showers may continue into a portion of Thanksgiving Day, with a decreasing chance of rain as the day goes on. Sunshine and cooler temperatures will return Tuesday ahead of another system Wednesday into Thursday.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and cool. Temperatures as of now look to be on the mild side, rising nicely to near 60.
