"Late last night, we were informed that multiple members of the Baltimore Ravens organization tested positive for COvID-19, and those individuals immediately began to self-quarantine", the team said in a statement. Harbaugh has since confirmed the facility has reopened.

Monday, coach John Harbaugh said only one player - defensive tackle Brandon Williams - was deemed a high-risk close contact.

"We will continue to monitor developments in consultation with our medical experts", the National Football League spokesman wrote in a statement.

A short week became even more challenging for the Baltimore Ravens heading into Thursday night's game at the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.

In response, the Ravens also announced that they had designated guard Tyre Phillips for return from injured reserve and signed tight end Eric Tomlinson to the practice squad.

The Ravens lost to the Tennessee Titans Sunday, 30-24 in overtime, despite having an 11-point lead.

The Ravens (6-4) and Steelers (10-0) are scheduled to play a nationally televised 8:20 p.m. game on Thanksgiving. All team activities are now virtual.

All meals have to be made available for grab-and-go to avoid players and staff congregating in cafeterias, and time spent in the locker room also has to be limited. The league had already been operating under its intensive protocols for COVID-19.
