While that can be a positive thing, it was clearly a negative Thursday afternoon at AT&T Stadium as Dallas dropped to 3-8 with an ugly 41-16 loss to Washington.

A four-time All-Pro at right guard, Martin moved to right tackle last week to replace struggling rookie Terence Steele.

Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton was knocked out of the teams's first meeting after taking an illegal hit from linebacker Jon Bostic and missed Dallas's next two games.

Martin's injury on the final play before a 33-yard field goal came four plays after left tackle Cam Erving went to the locker room with a knee injury.

Dallas started the Thanksgiving game with the same starting five in consecutive weeks for the third time this season. Franchise left tackle Tyron Smith is out for the year with a neck injury.

Dallas entered Thursday's game having used six different offensive line combinations, but the Cowboys were set to utilize the same grouping for the second week in a row.
