Restaurants in parts of NY that are banned from indoor dining to curb the spread of the coronavirus have three extra months to pay their sales taxes, according to another executive order signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Numerous members of the Facebook group "NYC Restaurants Open", which is mainly made up of restaurant and bar owners, have come out in support of a lifetime order banning Cuomo from being served at all New York City establishments.

"Completely schizophrenic behavior! How are they coming up with these rules is beyond any logical reasoning", said one group member, according to the blog.

"France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Ireland and Bulgaria all announced restrictions on, hours after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that Christmas shopping and gatherings in southern England must be canceled because of rapidly spreading infections blamed on the new coronavirus variant". He praised British Airways for its fast response.

During a COVID-19 briefing Monday New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said the Finger Lakes region has become a problem in regards to the spread of COVID-19 and hospitalizations.

Cuomo asked for the testing in light of a new coronavirus variant found circulating in the United Kingdom.

"We have gotten so much wrong and the experts have been so wrong on this", he said.

Cuomo said he'd rather have all flights from the the US stopped, but he doesn't have that power. He first called on the federal government to slow travel between the two countries over the weekend.

"We have been victimized by federal incompetence and federal negligence", Cuomo said. To me, this is reprehensible because this is what happened in the spring.
