But, that doesn't mean information isn't out there.

So far there has been no official release date given, in fact there hasn't been an official announcement of its existence.

A job listing was posted on Monster looking for an environment artist to "Join our team to create next-generation worlds".

That's the latest rumour circulating regarding the build-up and development of the next Grand Theft Auto game, which is now guaranteed to arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X rather than last-gen consoles.

The job post also mentioned that the responsibilities for the said position include "creating and texturing environment assets for the biggest and best open-world environment in the industry".

It's been more than seven years since the popular Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V released, so the anticipation for the sixth edition of the franchise has been naturally quite high.

Former Rockstar Games insider, who goes by the online handle Yann2295 on Twitter, is considered by the GTA community as someone who is trustworthy when it comes to a game's release date and whether or not it's in development.

In a follow-up report, however, the publication clarified that the budget is intended for Take-Two Interactive's marketing obligation to its contracts with third parties and does not reflect the marketing budget for its studios like Rockstar Games.

The general agreement among Grand Theft Auto's leakers and insiders is that a sixth major title is now in development.

It wouldn't make financial sense to release a trailer for GTA 6 amidst GTA V's re-release.

RUST: When is the survival game coming to PlayStation and Xbox?

And with the continuing acceptance of GTA Online, it's hard to gauge just how possible it will be to see Bully 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

One insider has revealed that GTA 6 is now in development, however, fans might have to wait longer than they anticipated. Both it (and Bethesda's Skyrim) have had an impressive stretch across consoles and generations, but gamers are eagerly awaiting the drop of GTA 6, and unfortunately, we're still a long ways off.

Other recent rumours have connected Rockstar Games to a variety of tasks, Bully 2 getting a person of them.

One aspect of the game that players are eager to find out is where the game will be set.

The game has always centred around Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas.

A VR version of GTA would be an enticing prospect for the PSVR2 and could possibly boost this product segment while also somewhat covering up current PS5 supply issues.

It has been rumoured that the game will feature a 100 hour story mode, filled to the brim with dozens of missions.
