Tierney has been amongst the bright sparks of a disappointing first half of the season for the Gunners and impressed once again in the club's 4-0 win at West Brom on Saturday, scoring once and providing an assist as Arsenal made it three consecutive Premier League victories at The Hawthorns.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted the Gunners have taken the handbrake off after their rout of West Brom.

"We talked about that before I came in".

Kieran Tierney was undoubtedly the star of the show against the Baggies with his brilliant right-footed strike, but Lacazette was equally impressive leading the line and could have got a hat-trick on any other day.

The ruthless visitors went ahead after 23 minutes when Tierney twice beat Darnell Furlong to cut in from the left and fire beyond Sam Johnstone.

Instead, a freakish third went Arsenal's way when Semi Ajayi awkwardly volleyed against his own post and recovered to block Smith Rowe's follow-up but watched Lacazette lash in the rebound - the Frenchman netting in a fourth consecutive match in all competitions.

Albion suffered another heavy home defeat on Saturday to the Gunners, coming after they were thumped 5-0 by Leeds. "He's a player with an enormous talent, but as well someone who can transform the team the way we want", Arteta added.

"We need to be more resilient in terms of our defending and, until we get clean sheets, we won't get enough points to move up the table because we haven't got any proven Premier League scorers in our squad".

However, they are within six points off the top four and a couple of more wins could put them within striking distance. "It shows when we lose the ball we forget how to defend".
