Airtel users in India will now be able to access the world's first Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition plan. Both of these plans offer single-user access to stream SD quality content on the platform.

Plus, you can buy the mobile-only Netflix subscription separately while the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition subscription is bundled with Airtel prepaid recharges in India. For this, the company has introduced Amazon Prime Video mobile-only plans starts at Rs. 89 per month in collaboration with Airtel in India.

As a part of the Prime Video Mobile Edition launch in India, all Airtel customers on bundled pre-paid packs can avail a 30-day free trial by signing up to Amazon from the Airtel Thanks app using their mobile number.

After the 30-day free trial, if Airtel customers wish to continue, then they will have to do a recharge of Rs 89. "Given high mobile broadband penetration in the country, the mobile phone has become one of the most widely used streaming devices", said Jay Marine, Vice President, Amazon Prime Video Worldwide, in a statement.

The mobile-plan makes better sense for Amazon, Shah said, that is targeting a wider consumer base and wants to penetrate deeper into the heartland.

There is a Rs 349 pack on offer as well, which will give the users complete benefits of Amazon Prime along with unlimited voice calling and 2GB daily data for 28 days.

He, however, declined to comment on the number of subscribers of Amazon Prime Video in India. Amazon's Prime membership is no different in this regard, as it offers more than one service at a very affordable price. Those looking for a plan with multi-user access and HD/UHD content along with other Prime benefits can choose from Rs 131 and Rs 349 prepaid plans. "Powered by affordable data, smartphones have become the preferred screen for entertainment in India", Amazon Prime Video India Director and Country General Manager Gaurav Gandhi said. Buoyed by this response, we want to double-down by offering our much-loved entertainment content to an even larger base of Indian customers.

Bharti Airtel COO Shashwat Sharma, said: "We are happy to partner with Amazon to democratise quality digital entertainment in India". You also get 6GB Internet data with this recharge.
