Samsung never fails to amaze the audience as it showed off some of its robots during its CES 2021 presentation.

As shown in the video, the robot automatically opens up a screen so that its owner could join a video call that was about to start.

Samsung kicked off the event with the latest iteration of the Bespoke refrigerator line. The product features interchangeable panels in different colors and materials, along with an auto-refilling water dispenser. This model will initially come with North America this spring which will also include a brand-new Beverage Center. MICRO LED will be rolled out globally beginning this spring.

Meanwhile, SmartThings Cooking is a new home automation service which features an automatic meal planner that recommends food for the course of the entire week. It makes shopping lists for the ingredients you need and connects to retailers straight from your Samsung FamilyHub refrigerator, or your smartphone.

Also in development is the Samsung Bot Handy.

By bringing AI to its products, Samsung is creating new home experiences-from washing machines that optimize water usage, detergents, and wash cycles, to TVs with a Quantum AI Processor that can upscale HD content into pristine 8K resolution. The new 8800 Series Smart Dial Front Load washers and dryers have been redesigned to make laundry easier, more intuitive, and less stressful. With video and interactive training via Bixby-enabled voice control, Samsung Health Smart Trainer elevates and personalizes the home workout experience.

The press conference also showcased Samsung's sustainability efforts, which in future will include using eco-friendly packaging for all TV products starting this year.

According to Engadget, the Korean tech giant introduced the state-of-the-art Samsung JetBot 90 AI+ is a vacuum cleaner equipped with 3D and LiDAR sensors to map out an optimal cleaning path. It can be combined with a SmartThings app to assist with home monitoring. However, one robot stood out as it helps in managing the home, even taking care of the pets. Using artificial intelligence, the Bot grows accustomed to your behavior over time and responds accordingly.

The bot acts as your robotic companion, while learning your schedule and making a note of your habits.

The white design and monochromatic digital interface of the Bot Handy and the Bot Care are strikingly reminiscent of EVE from the Pixar movie WALL-E, and we hope that the robots themselves will be similarly pleasant or else 2020 will just have been a warm-up for a dystopian event of a different nature.

While the Bot Handy with its robotic hand and Bot Care with its intelligent intuition may be the new Samsung bots closest to The Jetson's Rosie the Robot housebot we all know and want in our homes, the Jet Bot 90 AI+ has some impressive features. Samsung touts it as an extension of the user and capable of offering a hand anywhere in the house.

The robot uses camera and computer vision to identify objects and tell material compositions apart. It can even gauge the appropriate force required to grab and move objects around.
