TP-Link is also releasing a set of Deco modules that, rather than incorporate voice, leverage WiFi 6E instead. This new system is powered by Qualcomm Networking Pro 1210 platform and carries tri-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) capacity to cover an area of up to 3,000 square feet.

Linksys is having the wraps off its newest mesh router presenting at CES 2021, the Linksys AXE8400 Wi-Fi 6E Mesh System.

D-Link Wi-Fi Mesh technology maintains simple syncing with compatible D-Link Mesh extenders or another D-Link AI M32 unit. The Deco Voice X20 product page states that "Alexa Calling, Messaging, and Announcements (ACM) features may not be available in early shipments, and users will need a subsequent firmware update". Overall speeds are boosted to an incredible 7800 Mbps with tri-band WiFi. In the Wi-Fi 6E arena TP-Link is thus far competing head-to-head with Linksys (Belkin) and NETGEAR, who have also launched 6E-capable mesh systems at CES 2021.

This range also includes the Archer AX90 which is a standalone tri-band router with Wi-Fi 6 and identical specifications to the Deco X90.

Linksys claims that its new mesh router system can connect more than 65 devices, all sharing the same bandwidth. The Deco X96 and X76 Plus both use the faster standard, but only the X76 also has additional smart home features like Zigbee controls. The latter of which comes with a built-in smart home hub. The Deco Voice X20 is a Wi-Fi 6 (not 6E) mesh router that doubles as an Alexa-enabled smart speaker (a clever idea but one that other companies have explored already) and is launching in the coming months. The advanced OFDMA and UL/DL MU-MIMO technology eradicates latency and makes it easy to transfer data to and from multiple devices simultaneously, reducing wait times drastically. Linksys Aware allows for existing smart devices such as thermostats or doorbells to act as points of communication, expanding motion-sensing coverage area and allowing consumers to get a more detailed picture of where exactly motion has happened in the home.

The device also supports TP-Link HomeShield, which protects IoT devices, has parental controls, and can create security reports.

The Deco X76 Plus also supports the 6GHz band. Its whole home Deco mesh technology ensures strong WiFi signals everywhere. The slightly lower spec Deco 76 Plus (AX5400) runs at a top speed of 5400 Mbps for a maximum of 150 devices, TP-Link says. D-Link applies and supports integrated network solutions that integrate capabilities in switching, wireless, broadband, IP monitoring and cloud-based network management.
