Helping his mission is a new mechanic that allows Mario to turn into a cat himself thanks to the mysterious Gigabell.

Bowser's Fury will release on February 12 on the Nintendo Switch, bundled with Super Mario 3D World. For example, the upcoming Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo are specifically designed for the game, while the existing Bowser and Bowser Jr. ones will also each do something special in the game.

Announced as part of Mario's 35th-anniversary celebration, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a port of the Wii U's flagship Mario title with brand new content for the Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario 3D World now includes a version of Super Mario Odyssey's Snapshot Mode, which allows you to freeze time, adjust the image, and change filters. There's not a whole lot new with this version of the game.

The overview trailer runs through all the new features set to be included in the game, such as an online multiplayer mode to supplement the local co-op of the original.

We also have confirmation that there'll be a photo mode, where you can even decorate the world with the collectible stamps that were once relegated to Miiverse! There are some tweaks to gameplay as well, with characters seemingly moving a bit faster than they did on the Wii U.

Bowser Jr will fight alongside you and a second play can take control of him fighting enemies and uncovering secrets.

Fury Bowser will attack players using powers that can destroy cover. Fury Bowser, the star of the Lake Lapcat Bowser's Fury area, will appear if you tap that amiibo to the controller.
