A deal has now been concluded between Madrid and Frankfurt for the player to return to Germany on loan till the end of the season as confirmed on Tuesday by Eintracht sporting director, Fredi Bobic.

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic turned down a move to West Ham United to return to Eintracht Frankfurt instead.

Jovic is not part of manager Zinedine Zidane's plans, and while Goal has learned that he is not happy about being forced out of Madrid and feels he can still prove himself and work his way into the first-team picture, the boss is set on getting rid of the Serbian and has no interest in keeping him even as a squad back-up option.

Bobic said only details like the medical are to be done ahead of the official confirmation.

Jovic signed a six-year contract with Madrid but has struggled to justify his heavy price tag, starting only three games this season, and coming off the bench in two others, with no goal to his name.

He's managed just two goals and two assists in 32 games since his arrival, a far cry from the 36 goals and nine assists in he managed in 75 games for Frankfurt before that. He was 21 years old [when he joined], he was young.

Jovic rejoins a Frankfurt side that are ninth in the Bundesliga, with 23 points from 15 games.
