Her family did not think it was COVID-19, but an autopsy has not yet been concluded.

Wessling said Campbell went to work on the day of her death, before family members discovered her unresponsive on the bathroom floor of her home later that day.

A GoFundMe in her name was established for her 10-year-old son, Oliver, as well as to cover the unexpected cremation, memorial and probate expenses.

She went on to star in her most notable role in 1999 as Tammy Metzler in Election, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Chris Klein and Matthew Broderick. We're told the aunt tried to revive her but couldn't, and neither could EMTs when they arrived. Working with Jessica on Election was such a pleasure. Campbell's Election co-star Reese Witherspoon penned an emotional tweet honoring her.

According to reports, she collapsed after seeing patients at her practice in Portland, Oregon, and her cause of death is yet to be determined.

Prior to her death, Campbell had been complaining about congestion and said she thought she was getting a cold. Judd Apatow - executive producer of "Freaks and Geeks" - donated $5,000. "I'm sending all my love to Jessica's family and loved ones".

Jessica Campbell played Chris Klein's younger sister in Election.

Campbell also performed in the 2001 film The Safety of Objects with Glenn Close, Dermot Mulroney, Patricia Clarkson, Kristen Stewart and Joshua Jackson.

While it's unclear when she pivoted to become a doctor, the GoFundMe page noted that, "on multiple occasions", she "dropped everything to travel across state lines and care for her loved ones in need".

Campbell's professional website details how she long considered a career in traditional medicine, but after "some soul searching she realized that holistic medicine was what truly spoke to her".

Campbell also starred alongside Seth Rogan and James Franco in Freaks and Geeks.
