A Wind Advisory is in effect for Caddo and Washita counties through tomorrow afternoon.

Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour are possible across all of western and north-central Nebraska Wednesday night through Friday evening. Gusts in these areas could top 65-75 miles per hour. Windy and colder across Teller County on Thursday.

That's why a High Wind Warning is in place until Thursday at 9 p.m. Peak gusts to 65 miles per hour will be possible.

Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny and dry, but clouds and rain showers are likely Friday night, according to the National Weather Service. This change looks to signal the end of our mild winter weather we have been experiencing as highs by the end of next week and weekend look to only be in the 20s to low 30s. Even during the relative lulls, wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour will be possible. At this point the greatest impact appears to be another round of gusty winds. Highs will only warm into the 40s, with peak wind gusts to 35 miles per hour. Although this front is lacking moisture, there could still be a stray shower this afternoon. A disturbance will bring snow to the mountains on Saturday, but will miss most of us. Light accumulations can be expected Thursday night into Friday.

There is a chance for a couple of snow showers Monday.
