A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news to People magazine on Valentine's Day. The baby will be the younger sibling to the couple's son Archie Harrison, who will turn 2 on May 6.

"We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother".

Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting a baby, a spokesperson for the couple has said.

The couple quit their roles as senior working royals in March 2020 in a quest for personal and financial freedom, and now live in an £11 million (€12.5 million) house in Montecito in California.

The 39-year-old Duchess and 36-year-old Prince announced the news on Sunday (February 14).

"Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story being, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right", she wrote at the time.

Last November, the Duchess of Sussex wrote a deeply personal account of suffering a miscarriage after she chose to speak out in order to encourage others to do the same, to encourage others to listen and in doing so, lighten the load for others who are grieving.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently revealed that the duo is gonna be parents for the second time!
