Putin-Biden Summit Will be Held at Geneva's Villa La Grange

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the G7 leaders would announce a new initiative to "provide financing for physical, digital and health infrastructure" in the developing world - an alternative to China's Belt and Road initiative.

"I had a long conversation for two hours recently with [Chinese] President Xi [Jinping], making it clear to him we could do nothing but speak out for human rights around the world because that's who we are", Biden said. He's meeting with allies, attending the Group of Seven and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summits, and on the final day of the trip, he plans to meet with one of the United States' toughest adversaries: Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I've been clear: the United States will respond in a robust and meaningful way if the Russian government engages in harmful activities". During meetings and conversations with world leaders, President Biden will stress the importance of working with allies to confront challenges presented by Russian Federation and China.

"We are not seeking conflict with Russian Federation; we want a stable, predictable relationship", stated the Democrat.

President Biden disembarked Air Force One with his wife Jill, beginning an eight-day trip to Europe.

News outlets later reported that the USA will buy 500 million more doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to donate to 92 lower-income countries and the African Union over the next year. The U.S. has vaccinated more than half of its adult population, but impoverished countries are trailing far behind that level of inoculation.

During President Joe Biden's first overseas tour as commander in chief, he sent a clear message Wednesday that USA service members and their families are key to strengthening relationships at home and abroad.

He'll meet with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday, aimed at highlighting the "special relationship" between the USA and the United Kingdom.

"Joe Biden is not meeting with Vladimir Putin despite our countries' differences; he's meeting with him because of our countries' differences".

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on 9 June that Vladimir Putin is ready for any format of communication with reporters after his upcoming summit with Biden.

Trump held Putin blameless of allegations that Russian Federation intruded in the 2016 US presidential election to help Trump's election victory.

That list includes recent ransomware attacks on companies that provide gasoline and meat products to millions in the United States, Moscow's aggression in Ukraine and across Eastern Europe, and its disinformation campaign in many countries - including the US, with its 2016 election meddling. Each country has expelled some of the other's diplomats from Moscow and Washington.
