Christoph Waltz spotted on Bond 25 set in London

Christoph Waltz sounded pretty darn sure in late 2017 that he wouldn't be returning as Blofeld in Bond 25. Yet if this is true, it would confirm a previous report from The Playlist that Waltz would be back to scare the trousers off of Bond fans again, although one of the sources at the time was also Baz Bamigboye.

"#ChristophWaltz is back as #Blofeld in ⁦@007⁩ #Bond25, shooting scenes at Pinewood Studios".

I guess it's not only James Bond that gets to live twice, as a new report claims that Christoph Waltz will be reprising his role as Ernst Stavros Blofeld in the upcoming, still-untitled 25th James Bond movie. The villain's helicopter is shot down by Bond during the film's finale, but he survives and Bond spares him before walking away.

Confirmed cast members returning for the film include Daniel Craig as James Bond 007, Ralph Fiennes as M, Lea Seydoux (Spectre), Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as A, with Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. We haven't finished the screenplay, so there is no way that anyone could know that.

As you may recall, Oscar-winner Rami Malek has already been cast as Bond 25's villain, some form of terrorist (not a religious fundamental terrorist though).

Of course, Rami Malek is the main villain in Bond 25, but is he just another subordinate of Blofeld's in Spectre like Le Chiffre, Dominic Greene and Silva?

But interestingly, director Cary Fukunaga failed to deny Blofeld's possible return in an interview a year ago after he was announced as the movie's new director (following the departure of Danny Boyle). Max von Sydow also played Blofeld in the non-EON produced Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again in 1983.

Bond 25 (which I hope gets an official title soon so that I can stop calling it by that clumsy name) is now in production and is scheduled for release on 8 April 2020.
