The products bear the establishment number EST.M2206T or P-2260T on the package and are typically found at Walmart.

The producer, George's Prepared Foods of Tennessee, is recalling approximately 6,444 that were produced on April 19, April 27, May 7 and May 9.

More than 6,000 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and turkey sausage products are being recalled, according to the Food Safety and Inspection Service. They were shipped nationwide.

The USDA was notified a manufacturer may have inadvertently shipped products contaminated with Salmonella to stores.

There have not been any confirmed reports of reactions from these products, but the USDA said anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact his or her physician.

Most people infected with Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps 12 to 72 hours after being exposed to the bacteria. No illnesses relating to this recall have been reported at this time.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers' refrigerators or freezers or both.

The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
