Power outages could be coming to several nearby counties this week over wildfire concerns.

The company said it activated its emergency operations on Sunday night to keep an eye out for a possible "strong and dry offshore" wind likely to hit 17 counties across northern and southern California later this week.

The outage was the latest one in a string of many for which PG&E has received widespread public criticism.

"Portions of counties that may be impacted include, but is not limited to: Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, Yolo, Yuba."

Caltrans is also reminding drivers that non-working and flashing red traffic signals should be treated as all-way stops during power outages.
