Last Saturday, the Chase star Jenny Ryan gave it her all as she performed Queen's Somebody to Love, but she failed to make it through to the live shows.

Meanwhile, Jenny lately revealed she used to be supposed to audition for the main-ever X Ingredient series support in 2004, but she "chickened out" when she saw the scale of the queue. I came home, cried a little bit, ate quite a lot of ice cream. "I inferred it from what he said".

Jenny Ryan appeared on "This Morning" today.

The "Chase" quizzer told yesterday (20.10.19) how show bosses changed their mind and chose to put her back into the competition after her Overs mentor Nicole Scherzinger had turned her down on Saturday's (19.10.19) show, and she has now revealed Simon Cowell personally called to invite her back.

She said: "Jenny was just brilliant at her audition in LA".

"That affirm of hers is even handed one of a form, and she's an unheard of person to salvage to know".

The Pussycat Dolls singer added: "So it was such a tough decision to make".

After the episode aired, many fans were in uproar over Ryan's dismissal from the programme, including presenter Rylan Clark-Neal who vented: "Nah sorry @jenlion ROBBED fuming".

The news was confirmed in a statement on the official X Factor Twitter account. After a lot of discussion we all agreed we had to put her through.

"The Overs are going to smash it this year!"

And now they will be pleased with the news, that in a shocking round of events, Jenny will be lining up for the live shows that will begin this weekend. I'm thrilled to have been thrown this lifeline, I won't let you down.

While the audition process was being filmed, Vinnie, who had been slated to appear, tragically lost his wife Tanya following a battle with cancer.

But Jones will be competing after all, as Saturday night's episode saw Cowell invite him onto the live shows, an invitation that the former footballer accept.
