The track "Water" sees Kanye - who has children North, six, Saint, three, Chicago, 20 months, and Psalm, four months, with reality star Kim Kardashian West - claim that humans are made up of 90% water, 30% less than scientists believe.

Adam Tyson, pastor of Placerita Bible Church in Newhall, California, revealed that West - a newly saved Christian - told him he almost quit rap altogether earlier this year after declaring rap "the devil's music".

West wrote at the time: 'One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can't tell me what to do because I'm black'. He explained that the rapper began visiting the Placerita Bible Church in Newhall, California, in mid-May, prior to becoming a born-against Christian over the summer as he sought to unburden himself of the sins of pursuing fame in the music industry. "He just started telling me a little about his testimony".

"[Kanye] said, 'About five weeks ago, I got radically saved, '" Tyson explained. He would say the devil basically brought him to a place where he just felt like he was in bondage to his sin. I'm an evangelist so my music, my films, every conversation, every room I go in, we're here to save souls. from eternal damnation.

Tyson later recollected how Kanye spoke with him about potentially giving up rap. "I said, 'Why not?' He said, 'That's the devil's music.' I said, 'Hey, man. Rap is a genre. I think you need to use your talents that God's given you and use that platform for God'".

Kanye West is now popping up at random venues without much warning, continuing his gospel-themed show, Sunday Service.

The new release date is the same day as the accompanying Jesus Is King documentary which is set for exclusive release in IMAX theaters on Friday.
