Patriots' Josh Gordon won't play vs. Jets

Rex Burkhead will join wide receiver Josh Gordon and tight ends Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse on the sideline for the Patriots in Monday's game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Burkhead was listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week but his status was downgraded to out on Sunday.

Assuming most, if not all, of the questionable players end up playing (these are the Patriots, after all), the biggest question facing the team figures to be how well Ben Watson slots in now that he and blocking specialist Eric Tomlinson are the team's only healthy tight ends. Both players will be making their 2019 debuts.

Other Patriots injuries include Julian Edelman, Patrick Chung, Phillip Dorsett, and Gunner Olszewski. All of those players are now listed as questionable for Monday.

New England dominated NY in Week 3 to the tune of a 30-14 drubbing in which the Jets never had a chance with Luke Falk under center, but the circumstances are much different for Gang Green this time around.
