The third and final T20I between Australia and Pakistan will be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday.

The Green Shirts, who have to wins today's match in order to draw the series, ended their innings at 106-8. It means that the Babar Azam-led Pakistan will bat first again, just like they had in the first two matches of the series.

Iftikhar Ahmed was the top scorer for Pakistan with a 45-run knock.

After Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bowl, Starc provided the best possible start to the hosts.

The 29-year-old had Azam trapped in front for his first scalp of the day, with an unsuccessful review unable to overturn the umpire's call. The home team won the last game in Canberra by seven wickets, thanks to a brilliant 80 not out from master batsman Steve Smith.

The Australians included Sean Abbott for his first global in five years, and also recalled Billy Stanlake at the expense of Adam Zampa in expectation of a bouncy pitch.

Australia now have a 1-0 lead in the series, thanks to Steve Smith's 79-run match-winning innings on Tuesday.
