Celine Dion revealed that she nearly passed on recording the song that would become one of her biggest, career-defining hits - "My Heart Will Go On".

However it was her husband and manager at the time, René Angélil, who had convinced her otherwise.

She explained: 'It didn't appeal to me. I was probably very exhausted that day - very exhausted.

'My husband said, "Let's hold on".

The "My Heart Will Go On" singer said that if she ever does fall for someone, the world will know. Horner died in a plane crash in 2015 at the age of 61. If I don't, that would be great, because I am still in love. I never re-sang it for the recording. So the demo is the actual recording.

"So the demo is the actual recording, but after that, I've sang it about three gazillion times", Dion said.

My Heart Will Go On won the 1998 Academy Award for Best Original song in addition to dominating the 1999 Grammy Awards as it won Record of the year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television.

"I was not surprised".

The song eventually became a classic as it became the second best-selling single by a female artist in history and eighth overall.

'I don't date, ' Celine shared. 'I don't have a boyfriend. "Now and tonight, I'm very honored to sing it for all of you and for the love of my life. If I do that would be great, if I don't that would be great because I'm still in love", the 51-year-old said. "I think it's something that happens, that you feel, that comes and you feel it, and right now, if I would have someone in my life I would tell you because I've been an open book all my life, but if I do I'll come back and talk to you about it".

In fact, is there someone really special in her life already?
