The Jaguars then went 4-4 with Minshew as the starter, but after a pre-bye 26-3 loss to the Texans, Doug Marrone handed the keys back to a returning Foles. To make matters worse, two of those losses were to divisional rivals, which effectively ended Jacksonville's postseason dreams. He lost two fumbles, too, including one strip sack that was returned for a touchdown.

"I wanted to get a spark", Marrone said after the game, via ESPN. I know it might not feel like the right way for the fans and everyone, but I've got to continue to do things the right way. I haven't spoken to either quarterback afterward. I'm going to tell you the answer already.

Foles was ineffective during the first half, completing seven of his 14 passes for 93 yards and also throwing an interception.

Minshew, who led the Jaguars to a 4-4 record after Foles was hurt just 11 snaps into the season opener, completed 16 of 27 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown Sunday.

Foles signed a four-year, $88-million contract in March but has been unable to lead Jacksonville to victory since his return from a Week 1 broken collarbone. Minshew is definitely more of a raw player, but he's exciting because he can make things happen on the field.

It's going to be a tough decision, but fans sure voiced their opinion of who they wanted on Sunday.
