With the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA set to debut on December 11, the German carmaker has released another teaser of the compact crossover.

The latest teaser steps inside the small crossover's cabin to partially reveal an oh-so familiar ambiance we've seen already in the seven compact cars launched by the three-pointed star within the last two years.

Given the new GLA will be based on the company's MFA2 architecture used for its compact vehicle line-up, which includes the A-Class, CLA and GLB, there's a sense of familiarity to things. When you're about to open the door to get out of the auto, the blind spot monitor system automatically kicks once it senses another vehicle or a bicycle is approaching.

Compared to the outgoing GLA, the new model will be 3.9 inches taller allowing for more headroom and a higher seating position, and 0.59 inches shorter. According to Mercedes, the new GLA will be offered with a Driving Assistance package, which includes active brake assist, cornering function, emergency lane function, exit warning, and pedestrian warning.
