The Los Angeles Dodgers have won seven straight division titles, but haven't won a World Series since 1988.

With that in mind, star outfielder Cody Bellinger couldn't help but point out that the Dodgers were playing by the rules during their two World Series defeats.

"Honestly, we're curious to see what happens", the 2019 National League MVP replied Sunday when asked about the Astros and Red Sox allegations, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

Last Tuesday, the Red Sox were accused of illegally using the video replay room to study opposing teams' signs during their historic 108-win championship season. "It sucks, man. We were close, but we did it the right way".

Houston's intricate system, which was confirmed by pitcher Mike Fiers in a November report, apparently involved the aid of an outfield camera and the banging of trash cans to alert Astros hitters of what pitch was coming their way. Bellinger's pride is understandable, but that sting won't go away just because there may have been cheating taking place on the part of their opponents. "But it is what it is, man". We'll see what happens, what [MLB Commissioner Rob] Manfred wants to do.
