Perhaps the "idiots" as Larry David would call them in Newark, Lakewood and elsewhere could use this lecture.

Joining the list of celebrities taking to social media to urge the general public to stay at home in safety amidst the global pandemic is Curb Your Enthusiasm's creator and star Larry David, who utilized California Governor's Gavin Newom's Twitter account to post a PSA urging people to stay home and enjoy the chance to catch up on TV.

The veteran comedian and renowned curmudgeon was filmed for a video tweet issued by the Office of the Governor of California urging people to stay indoors and protect older and vulnerable people. After all, this is the man who once said on Curb Your Enthusiasm, "I find human contact repulsive".

He concludes by emphasizing, "So, stay home... and... you know, don't see anyone, except maybe if there's a plumbing emergency, let the plumber in and then, you know, wipe everything down after he leaves, but that's it".

"I don't know how you're passing that up", David says. I don't know what you're doing. "Sit on the couch and watch TV". Well, not me, I have nothing to do with you, I'll never see you. You know, if you've seen my show, nothing good ever happens going out of the house, you know that. Who knew that Larry David would be the voice of reason?

David suggests that those who don't pass that up are "not that bright", which is a fair assessment given the clear medical advantages of staying home and attempting to flatten the curve, if not for yourself than the rest of humanity.

"Go home! Watch TV!"

"It's just trouble. It's not a good place to be".
