Kareena Kapoor Khan & Saif Ali Khan Contribute To PM CARES Fund & Maharashtra CM’s Relief Funds To Fight The Global Crisis

Some people were not pleased when Kareena Kapoor Khan and husband Saif Ali Khan donated their contribution to UNICEF and not in PM-CARES, but now Kareena has taken to Instagram and announced that she will also contribute to PM-Cares Fund and Maharashtra's CM Relief Fund.

In a statement shared by Kareena on Instagram, the actress, on behalf of herself, Saif and son Taimur, wrote, "We extend our support to the PM-CARES Fund and Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra)". The couple has also announced to donate to Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). "In times like these, every helping hand and every rupee raised matters".

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 1,965 in the country on Thursday while the death toll rose to 50.

Earlier, Saif and Kareena had shared that they would be donating to UNICEF, GIVE INDIA and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), in the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Several Bollywood celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Vicky Kaushal, star couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli and others have come forward to support the government in the tough time. Not only developing countries like India, even the developed nations like the USA are struggling to keep up with the speed at which the deadly disease is spreading. Let us all do our bit for a healthier and stronger future", the "Uri: "The Surgical Strike" star said.
