Coronavirus Canada updates: Quebec identifies 570 new cases

Speaking to reporters, the premier said that he was making this decision after seeing that the coronavirus situation was improving in Quebec's largest city.

The news comes as Canada hit a milestone today.

Montreal's numbers continue to rise with 305 new cases confirmed Sunday, bringing the metropolis's total to 21,715.

On Tuesday, the province reported that one more case had been identified and one more death had been reported in Nova Scotia.

Nearly 300 more people (296) have recovered from the virus, according to health authorities, bringing the total of recovered patients in the province to 11,754.

Having said this, there has been some improvement in la belle province. "We need to follow public health instructions if we don't want to go back and have to put the brakes on the reopening".

Legault also suggested that if enough people don't wear masks he would consider making it mandatory.
