Ruby Rose's departure from Batwoman sent shockwaves throughout the Arrowverse fan community earlier this week.

Arrow co-creator and Batwoman executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke to Collider about the star's exit, weighing in on whether it was a bittersweet or exciting development for the series. Variety is reporting via multiple sources that the actress was unhappy with the long hours required by a leading actor on the show, which caused challenges with the production.

"It's amusing, I think it's both", said Guggenheim. I think there'll be people who come to the show, quite frankly, just to see how the writers choose to handle this.

"I was actually talking about that with Beth Schwartz, the other day", continued Guggenheim. We were talking about how, once production presumes posts the pandemic, how are we going to work with all these different limitations?

Among them have been Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz and WWE wrestler Sonya Deville, but The Magicians's Jade Tailor is also keen to take a crack at the Scarlet Knight!

Sometimes the job doesn't turn out as you thought. Let us know in the comments below! As the dust settles, Batwoman has everything working against her - including the recently escaped rogues' gallery of villains - and everyone will come to see her in a whole new light. Alice meets her match when she becomes entangled with a risky foe from her past who knows exactly how to prey on her vulnerabilities. The cast also includes Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang, Rachel Skarsten, Dougray Scott, and Elizabeth Anweis.
