In recent news, a man shared a shocking photo of what COVID-19 did to his body after just six weeks in a hospital.

But Mr Schultz said there were "no real restrictions in place, though - no lockdowns". The image shows him having lost at least 50 pounds in these two months.

"I didn't think it was as serious as it was until after things started happening", he told BuzzFeed News.

A week later, Schultz was back in San Francisco and feeling a bit under the weather but didn't think much of it. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, have pre-existing conditions or not.

Weighing in at just 140 pounds and only when his lung capacity begins to return after waking up, one could not easily believe that Schultz was well developed before becoming infected with the coronavirus.

Explaining his health condition after discharge, he said he couldn't even stand up for a few minutes to pose for the photograph.

'I couldn't hold my cellphone, it was so heavy. He couldn't type easily and his hands trembled most of the time. In total, he spent eight weeks in the hospital.

Mr Schultz, who was hospitalised on March 16, had travelled to Boston to visit his boyfriend, Josh Hebblethwaite, 29, on March 14. Mike Schultz is a nurse from San Francisco and after going to Miami Beach, he became ill and was eventually hospitalized. Among those who attended the Miami festival, 38 had tested positive for COVID-19 and three reportedly died of the infection.

Before falling ill, he weighed around 86kg and worked out nearly every day, according to BuzzFeed News. When in Boston, he first had the symptoms and was burning up from a 103-degree fever. According to Schultz, he took the photo standing up and had already felt exhausted after a couple of minutes of doing so. The shredded dude is him a month earlier than contracting coronavirus, in comparison with now after getting launched from a MA hospital.

The couple say they've received a lot of abuse for attending the Florida festival, with some people saying Mr Schultz deserved to get sick.
