No new cases of Covid-19 reported today

The Iowa Department of Public Health said that 16,767 confirmed cases of COVID-19 had been reported since the start of the pandemic.

There have been no further deaths reported.

Of the new cases, 46 came from Cass County with 1 case each from Burleigh, Grand Forks and Ransom counties.

9,187 people are considered recovered from COVID-19.

Clarification: An initial writing of this story said that there were 16,795 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state.

"Presumptive cases are those without a positive diagnostic test who present with COVID-19-like symptoms and had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient", Josephine County said. As a result, the quantity of negative test results will decrease substantially.

Individual cases may be removed if the place of residence is outside of Collin County. These cases by gender are from Collin County health reports with no explanation for the difference between reported and listed cases.

4,336 tests were reported to state officials in the last 24 hours.

There is no change to the number of people recovered, meaning 97 per cent of all confirmed and probable cases have recovered from COVID-19.

There have been a total of 1,308 negative test results, and 64 tests remain pending.
