Cohen then sang: "Sushi-eaters, what we gonna do?" with the crowd replying: "Inject them with the Wuhan flu!"

Needless to say, it was a somewhat unwelcome surprise to organisers when Cohen - dressed in a red skivvy and blue overalls, fake beard, and a huge hat - proceeded to play a song that referenced a number of far-right and racist conspiracies, from the coronavirus being a hoax, to it being created in a lab in Wuhan, to threatening to "inject [Obama] with the Wuhan flu".

The comic last night led an offensive singalong at an outdoor meeting of the Washington State Three Percenters militia group. "Or chop 'em up like the Saudis do". WHO, what we gonna do?

The prank falls in line with the satirical performances Cohen has built a career out of - most prominently with the British gangster character Ali G and Borat, the Kazakh journalist who interviews unwitting Americans in the incisive mockumentary sharing his name.

The group says on its website that it is "a national organization made up of patriotic citizens who love their country, their freedoms, and their liberty".

Organisers quickly clocked what was going on, but were prevented from pulling Cohen off stage by his own security.

The Washington state news outlet The Olympian reports that Baron Cohen crashed the rally of the alt-right militia group the Washington Three Percenters while in disguise.

"Disguised as a PAC out of Southern California, paid for the stage setup and musical entertainment".

The councilman also claimed the crowd turned on Cohen and security whisked him away in a waiting ambulance. He also said, "His security blocked event organizers from getting him off the stage, or pulling power from the generator".

"Sacha Baron Cohen pulled a bulls- stunt at the March For Our Rights 3 event", Blair said in his post. These individuals do not represent the event, it's organizers, or the vast majority of those who attended.
