The victim's sister, who did not wish to be named, told KSNV that Coner was a beloved father and condemned the actions of 28-year-old Keonte.

The deadly encounter began June 20 when the homeless man, 55-year-old Larry Coner, approached Jones to ask for money, according to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. As a result, Jones was arrested and charged with willful disregard of a person's safety.

According to police, upon Coner's request, Jones encouraged him to perform a "dangerous" backflip for a $6.

As Coner lay dying on the 800 block of West Jones Avenue, Jones jokes, 'He's gone to sleep!'

Video posted to Facebook shows Jones holding $6 in front of a camera as he laughs and says that a man he's filming is about to "hit a backflip" for money. At one point stands over Coner saying: 'Here, here, take your $6'.

In a disturbing 10-minute livestream of the incident, initially shared on Facebook, Keonte can be seen laughing with other passersby while Coner lay motionless on the ground.

In the page description, Coner's sister said Coner had a mental illness that had gotten progressively worse since his mother died in 2018.

"How can you not have human compassion and compassion for another human being?" she said.

The homeless man tries to execute the maneuver in a parking lot but ends up landing on his head, which prompts screaming from nearby onlookers.

Jones was released from custody after posting bail, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Jones is due in court September 14 and faces one to five years in prison.

She said Larry was just getting out of hospital when a group of people told him to do flips for food. He died on June 30.

'I'd really appreciate any/ all donations as it will be use to give him a home going please keep our family in prayer thank you and GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
